Release Day Review: 5 stars for Code Name:Heist (Jameson Force Security #3) by Sawyer Bennett

Code Name: Heist (Jameson Force Security, Book #3)
Sawyer Bennett
Release Date: January 7, 2020

I am a world-class thief. Or I was, before I got pinched and landed in prison. After I served my time, I decided to get on the right side of the law, or as much as my job at Jameson Force Security allows. The lines sometimes blur, which suits me just fine. My name might be Saint, but I’m a devil to most.

My plan to go legitimate is going as anticipated, until my past and present collide in a big way. While in Paris preparing to take down a ring of highly specialized thieves, I come face-to-face with my biggest threat—and my most dangerous temptation.

Sindaria “Sin” Westin was the love of my life, until her betrayal landed me behind bars. Now I’ve got to find a way to trust her again, at least long enough to pull off this job. When it becomes clear the price for this heist will be our lives, I realize I need to do whatever it takes to keep Sin safe, even if it means trading my life for hers. Because no matter the lies I’ve told myself, Sin’s greatest theft was the day she stole my heart.

What I thought about Code Name: Heist

Jameson Security Force has a new employee named Saint Belliger.  He's a master thief trying to use his skills for good. He's tasked with investigating some potential insurance fraud scheme that involves master thieves, but there's one hitch -- one of the players is his former lover, and the woman who sent him to prison.  Her name is Sin.

She's a master safe cracker, and unbeknownst to Saint, she's in deep in a bad way with the bad guys and can't get free, even if she wanted to give up the life of crime.  But seeing Saint again has both of them trying for the ridiculous "sex-only" relationship.  I say ridiculous because that never works in a romance!

Through the jobs they now must undertake together, they get to know each other again, bringing old feelings and more to the surface. I loved that this book was fast-paced and hard to put down -- that's just what I want in a romantic suspense type of story --- lots of action and plenty of steam.  Code Name:Heist has all of that.

I really like this series.  While characters in previous books make appearances, it's all about the spotlight couple which makes this work as a standalone. This series is well researched, especially this book which deals with a lot of surveillance and theft situations where realism is important.

Overall, a great story, lots of action, plenty of tense situations and a love story that satisfies. That does it for me. Sawyer Bennett delivers a great story that held my interest throughout.

About the Author

Since the release of her debut contemporary romance novel, Off Sides, in January 2013, Sawyer Bennett has released multiple books, many of which have appeared on the New York Times, USA Today and Wall Street Journal bestseller lists.

A reformed trial lawyer from North Carolina, Sawyer uses real life experience to create relatable, sexy stories that appeal to a wide array of readers. From new adult to erotic contemporary romance, Sawyer writes something for just about everyone.

Sawyer likes her Bloody Marys strong, her martinis dirty, and her heroes a combination of the two. When not bringing fictional romance to life, Sawyer is a chauffeur, stylist, chef, maid, and personal assistant to a very active daughter, as well as full-time servant to her adorably naughty dogs. She believes in the good of others, and that a bad day can be cured with a great work-out, cake, or even better, both.

Sawyer also writes general and women’s fiction under the pen name S. Bennett and sweet romance under the name Juliette Poe.

I own the first one of this series in 2 formats now and I've wanted to listen to it forever. Both because I enjoy this author and I love the narrator for this one.

So I'll hope to get to this one sometime. Fantastic review!
