Synopsis

I joined the team at Jameson Force Security three months ago and it’s one of the best decisions I’ve made. Leaving behind the Marine Corps together, my dog Omega and I made the cross-country trek to Pittsburgh for an exciting new career. Now I get to spend my days doing dangerous missions with my team and Omega gets to spend his days relaxing, unless there are explosives to be sniffed, and then he’s all paws on deck.

When Omega—who I affectionately refer to as Bubba—snacks on something he most definitely shouldn’t have, an emergency trip to the vet introduces me to Abigail Blackburn. She’s a little quirky, a lot smart, and completely captivating. She also has a penchant for trouble and when Abby makes it her own personal mission to expose the puppy mill industry, she finds herself mixed up with unsavory characters who aren’t happy with her efforts to cut into their profits

This seedy underbelly is a dangerous place, particularly for a well-intentioned, yet somewhat naïve, small-town vet. What began as peaceful protests outside of local pet stores has escalated into something that threatens Abby’s safety, and I refuse to sit by and watch her get hurt. Somehow this raven-haired beauty has gotten under my skin, and I don’t hesitate to call in my teammates at Jameson to help keep her safe.

Now I find myself trying to balance my need to protect Abby while helping her successfully complete her mission, but also redirecting her focus long enough to show her that I’ve completely fallen for her. One thing is certain—this is going to be my toughest assignment yet.

What I thought about Code Name:Omega

Kellen McCord is one of the newest members of Jameson Force Security headquartered in Pittsburgh. When he returns from a mission to find his dog is in distress, he meets Dr. Abby . She strikes his interest right away, and when she needs someone to foster an animal she's rescued, he's all in.

Abby's crusade to rescue the dogs in a local puppy mill operation puts her in danger, and it's Kellen to the rescue with all the muscle behind Jameson Force Security.

Code Name Omega is not high drama or high action and suspense. More romance than romantic suspense, it's all about the love story between Abby and Kellen. There are action sequences, but I what I liked the most was this sweet falling in love between the main characters. It's a feel-good story in that regard.

I also enjoyed Abby's dedication to saving the dogs. And Bubba. Pets are part of the family structure and I'm always happy to have them as a character in a story.

Overall, a fluffy romantic suspense that will leave you feeling good. It works well as a standalone in a series.

What I thought about Code Name: Revenge

Since the beginning of this series, Dozer has been the super-smart intelligence operative at Jameson Security. He's best friends with one of my very favorite characters, Bebe. I couldn't wait to read Dozer's story.

When Dozer hears that a certain member of the Russian mob has escaped from prison, he knows exactly where he is going to go and that's to the ex-girlfriend who turned him in. The same women that Dozer has been secretly in love with for all these years he acted like a loner.

Even though he doesn't have the training, he decides he is going after Jess to protect her and her daughter. Of course he has the gang from Jameson at his back. He's going to need them.

There comes a time in all series when all the stories have been told. I've really enjoyed this series, especially the earlier stories, but I found this one to be predictable and short on story elements. I think sometimes when you've been waiting for a character's story that it just doesn't live up to your expectations.

Overall, this is a quick, easy read. The conflict is resolved without huge effort or sacrifice. The plot is predictable, but a good ride if you are looking for that sort of romance.

What I thought about Disavowed

Ladd and Greer ended their relationship and neither one of them have recovered emotionally from what went down between them. When Greer gets in major trouble on a job, Ladd must save her from a really bad situation. Greer has been disavowed from the agency she worked for and is now is some deep trouble as the bad guys are coming for her! And that's just the start of this book!

If you like lots of fast paced action and thrills in your second chance romance, Disavowed will take you on a ride you won't forget. I absolutely loved everything about this story. It's the sort of book you start reading and don't want to put down until you are finished.

I don't want to say much more than that so I don't spoil anything. This is one of the best in the Jameson Force Security series. Plenty of action, plenty of thrills and an HEA that will leave you smiling!
