Allie Hayes is in crisis mode. With graduation looming, she still doesn’t have the first clue about what she’s going to do after college. To make matters worse, she’s nursing a broken heart thanks to the end of her longtime relationship. Wild rebound sex is definitely not the solution to her problems, but gorgeous hockey star Dean Di Laurentis is impossible to resist. Just once, though, because even if her future is uncertain, it sure as heck won’t include the king of one-night stands.
It’ll take more than flashy moves to win her over
Dean always gets what he wants. Girls, grades, girls, recognition, girls…he’s a ladies man, all right, and he’s yet to meet a woman who’s immune to his charms. Until Allie. For one night, the feisty blonde rocked his entire world—and now she wants to be friends? Nope. It’s not over until he says it’s over. Dean is in full-on pursuit, but when life-rocking changes strike, he starts to wonder if maybe it’s time to stop focusing on scoring…and shoot for love.

What I thought about The Score
In this third book in the Off Campus series from Elle Kennedy, self-proclaimed king-of-the-one-night-stand Dean Di Laurentis hooks up with Allie Hayes, Hannah's roommate. She's just broken up with her boyfriend, and ends up staying the night at the house that Dean and his pals share. She's there to stay away from her old boyfriend Sean, who is tempting her to get back together when she knows that isn't what is best for her.
When Dean and Allie end up in bed together, everything changes for both of them. Dean can't seem to forget Allie, and even though Allie thought it was only a one-night rebound, she's not immune to Dean's charms.. and he's quite the expert when it comes to being charming!
I love it when a certified manwhore falls for a specific woman, and in The Score Allie makes him work a little for what he wants. But there's no denying the sexual chemistry between these two and they secretly hookup without their friends knowing about it. Of course that doesn't last very long either.
There's a lot to love about this series and The Score in particular. The writing is really great and the characters are well developed and interesting. I love the women in this series -- they all look out for themselves first. They care about their academics and don't sacrifice themselves just for the guy, even when it's tough. They have expectations of their men that they hold them to. When Dean really messes up, Allie does what is right for herself, and I loved that about her.
And Dean? Well, he's sexy and scrumptious, and when he falls hard for Allie, it's a beautiful thing. I loved how his character is exposed in The Score and how he really becomes a man through it all. He doesn't fight his attraction to Allie, which surprised me, but then again, The Score is full of surprises, especially at the end (nope, not telling!) And then there's Little Dean... I smiled at every reference and thought that was a terribly cute part of the story.
I love this series. The characters are terrific, the men are sexy and smart and the women are too. The Score hit me in the feels a few times, and I couldn't put this down until I was finished. I recommend this series -- it's one of the best NA sports themed series out there, in my humble opinion.
