One girl’s heart gets rocked to the core in the first novel in this sexy New Adult series.
Twenty-one-year-old front girl Emmylou knows that getting her band noticed in the ‘90s indie rock scene will be no easy task. She definitely knows better than to break the number one rule of the band: Don't sleep with your bandmates! But after she ends up having the best sex of her life with her guitarist, Travis, she finds following that rule is a lot harder than it sounds.
When the band gets the gig of their dreams, making it big seems just within reach. But Emmy’s inability to keep her hands off Travis threatens everything they’ve worked for. Can Emmy find a way to break the rules and not blow the chance of a lifetime?

What I thought about Loud Is How I Love You
I love New Adult and contemporary romance that uses the rock and roll scene as a backdrop, so requesting this title to review was a no-brainer for me.
Emmy has dreamed about making it big with her band since like forever, and when she happens to have sex with her guitarist one night, she's really thrown into a tailspin. The night with Travis was exceptional, and he obviously wants there to be more between them, but Emmy has a huge conflict with that.
Emmy has an unwritten rule-- you don't get involved with your bandmates. She's seen too many bands go down because of it, and she is super focused on her band. She's lining up their next big gig while trying to also keep up with her college courses. She's a busy lead singer, and she doesn't have time for Travis.
Or does she? The pull to Travis is strong, and he wants her too, and they end up together again. And again. But with each coming together, Emmy comes back to her belief that getting involved with Travis will put an end to the band.
Is it possible she can have both? That's what Loud is How I Love You is all about.
I just loved this title, and it's the first book on my "favorites of 2016" list. The story is engaging and even though Emmy's back-and-forth with Travis had me wanting to smack her upside the head, I loved the honest portraying of her struggling with her emotions toward Travis, and her love for music and the band. I got that about her. That confusion and uncertainty is what I expect in a New Adult title, because that's what stories about this age group is all about.
In addition to the romance, the backstory of the band is just terrific and I felt like I was immersed in Emmy's world. The story is told from her point of view, and that worked very well for me. Travis is pretty awesome too, and there's some great emotion in Loud Is How I Love You that I could gush about, but really, just pre-order this if you love rock themed romance, you won't be sorry.
Loud is How I Love You distinguishes itself from other "rock band romances" with an authentic voice that just made this such an awesome reading experience for me. I really want more from this author and this world and I'm thrilled there will be another book in this Hub City Romance series.
