Domineering lover kisses his sexy submissive in loft interior

So many readers asked for more stories in my bestselling Hard Ink series, and I’m so excited to be able to give you just that in my new, super sexy HARD TO SERVE! HARD TO SERVE is an edgy stand-alone love story about a Baltimore police detective whose red-hot BDSM relationship with a new submissive seems like the perfect distraction from a trumped-up investigation against him until he learns that the woman is his boss’s daughter. Talk about sparks flying! I had so much fun writing this book, and I can’t wait for everyone to read it! And if you enjoy it, you might like to check out the whole Hard Ink series, now complete! Happy reading!

Excerpt:

Mia found herself alone with a kinda pissed-off looking Master Kyler. He wore angry well. As in, the harshness of the set of his jaw and the tight press of his lips and the narrow cut of his eyes—they were all hot, especially coming from a Dom. But she didn’t understand it.

“Um. Hello, Sir,” she finally said when he didn’t say anything.

“Mia,” he said, his gaze raking over her. “You look absolutely stunning tonight.” His voice was like gravel, rough and strained.

“Thank you. Are you okay, Sir?” she asked.

He shook his head. “I don’t…I don’t know.”

“Do you want to sit and talk?” Mia asked, concern for him flooding her.

Suddenly, Kyler pinned her to the cool wall. He braced his hands on either side of her head, and he was erect against her belly. She wanted to drop into a crouch and take him into her mouth. “Do you want vulgar honesty or watered-down politeness?” he asked.

The promise of those words made her core clench with need. “Vulgar honesty.”

He nailed her with a blue-eyed stare. “I don’t want to sit and talk. I want to fuck. Hard. I want to be aggressive. Maybe I even want to be a little mean.”

Mia’s heart was suddenly a runaway train in her chest. Because, sign her up! She let out a shaky breath. “That sounds…like someone’s going to have a good night,” she managed.

Kyler dropped his head to her shoulder on a groan. He knocked his forehead against the bone there once, twice.

“Did I say the wrong thing?” she asked. Because he was totally confusing her.

“That’s the thing, Mia. I don’t know.” He lifted his gaze to hers again.

“How can I help?” she asked.

For a moment, he closed his eyes and inhaled deeply, and when he opened them, it was like he’d centered himself and made some kind of resolution. “Are you game for what I just described?” He fingered the chunky silver-and-gold choker she wore around her neck.

Heat swept over her, her body already answering, already preparing. “Yes, Sir. I am.”

He gave a tight nod and backed up a step. “Let me show you the room I have in mind.” Taking her hand, he led her down the long hallway that shot off the side of the nave. She wasn’t sure if this was still part of the church building or something else, but she didn’t have long to wonder before Kyler stopped at a door and keyed in a code.

Lights came on as the door opened, and Kyler guided her inside with his hand at the small of her back.

Just the room’s theme turned Mia on. Concrete floor. Cinder-block walls with peeling paint. Light thrown from bare light bulbs surrounded by little cages. An iron cot bed with only a white fitted sheet. Rusted metal cabinet at the side that undoubtedly held a variety of toys and supplies. It looked like a basement or a warehouse—a place where a woman in a beautiful cocktail dress had no business being. A role started taking shape in her mind.

“Do you see where my head is tonight, Mia?” Master Kyler asked, his body almost rigid with tension.

God, she was going to enjoy helping him work out whatever had him so wound up. “Yes, Sir.”

I'm really looking forward to this follow-up to the Jack and Jill series by
Jewel E. Ann on July 28. Find out more about that series and others at http://www.jeweleann.com/ and read on for an excerpt from ONE.

Synopsis
Lake Jones is a cover girl for cutting-edge prosthetic legs, a binge-watcher of Netflix, known to spy on her neighbor through her door’s peephole, and fond of laser games with her hairless cat. She’s also a bit sexually-frustrated.
Until …

God bestows a breath of mercy upon her in the form of Minnesota’s NFL starting quarterback. But this gift is no stranger. Lake met Cage Monaghan three years earlier.

It was one day.
One moment.
One kiss that resurrected her dreams of finding love.

His dimpled smile distracts from his imperfections, which include: a love for country music, fishing, and a feline-hating girlfriend.

When life finally gives them their chance, it’s a humorous and heart-wrenching journey to find their place in the world.

"We would be Cage and Lake. We would be unpredictable. We would be reckless. We would give normality the middle finger.”

***This book is a standalone. However, it is HIGHLY recommended that any readers who have not, but may consider, reading the Jack & Jill Series, do so before reading this book. It contains spoilers to Jack & Jill.

“Wow. Nice basement. Or shrine. It really is more of a shrine.”

Cage laughed, taking our luggage into the bedroom. My eyes remained glued to the wall.

“I’m glad you see the humor in it so I won’t feel so bad when I say, ‘Oh. My. God.’ I mean, common sense tells me there has to be a wall behind all these posters and photos, but without that common sense it really does look like the posters and photos are the wall.” I stepped closer, inspecting the non-existent spacing between the frames.

            Cage in high school.
            Cage in college.
            Cage with Minnesota.
            Cage receiving award after award.
            Cage.
            Cage.
            Cage.

“My mom is my number one fan.”
“No shit. I’d considered taking on the role myself, but clearly I’m way out of my league.”
He swept my hair off to one side and kissed my neck, pressing his body to my back. “Have I told you today how beautiful you are?”
“No. N-not yet.” I closed my eyes as his hands slid under my shirt, finding their way to my breasts.
“You are. You’re so damn beautiful in every way.”
His touch made me crazy. The ending of my cycle made me horny. The combination of both made me not care where we were. I turned in his arms. My grin screamed come hither.
            “Couch, Monaghan.”
            He quirked a brow.
“Don’t make me say it again.”
He smirked, taking several steps back before flopping onto the enormous brown sectional. I grabbed one of his tennis shoes and pulled it off and then the other. His socks followed suit.
“Can you feel it, Monaghan? You’re getting ready to score again. What if your off-season record surpasses your regular-season record?” I “shrugged off my shirt.
His gaze dropped to my chest. “I love when you talk my language.”
I slipped off my shoe. Each item of clothing got tossed in a different direction for theatrics.
My favorite dimples came out, approving of my strip tease.
“Mind if I lose the leg?” I asked.
He shook his head. There really were no words to describe how his lack of any sort of reaction made me feel.
            Not one flinch.
Not one nervous glance at my leg.
            Not one second of hesitation.
It was as if I asked whether we could listen to music while having sex. Cage didn’t see my disability. He found every version of me sexy. I found my heart hurting from the fear that someday he would look at me and think “Holy, shit! You’re missing part of your leg.”
With equal flair, I tossed my leg over the back of the couch and straddled his waist in just my black bra and panties.
“I think we can be honest with each other, Monaghan, so I’m going to let you in on a little female secret.”
He tore his eyes from my breasts and met my gaze.
“By the end of a woman’s cycle or period as you don’t like to call it…” he rolled his eyes “…we are horny, as in, there is probably a twenty-four to forty-eight hour gap where you could fuck a woman senseless and she’d still beg for more.”
His Adam’s apple bobbed, swallowing that little nugget of information. “Shit! I brought you to my mom’s house during your fuck-me-senseless time.”
I shrugged, reaching behind me and unfastening my bra which got tossed over the couch as well. “Rookie mistake, Monaghan. Now … the real question is…” I wet my lips while unfastening his jeans “…what part of my body is going to give you your first orgasm tonight?” ”

“Jesus, Lake …” His breath caught just as I finished pulling down his zipper.

What I thought about Sweet Little Lies

Jill Shalvis is back with a new series that reminds me why I really enjoy this author's works.  She really knows how to develop some interesting and attractive characters that suck you right into the story.  Second of all, this series takes place in San Francisco, which has a special place in my heart after living there.  So I was very excited to get my hands on an early copy of this book.

Finn notices Pru from the start --Gotta love a guy that notices a girl for her work boots, know what I mean?  These two just click from the start but I liked that they didn't exactly rush into things.  Part of reason was Pru reminding herself that she can't get involved with Finn (not going to spoil it here, you'll have to read to find out!)

Finn has a lot on his shoulders -- a bar and a younger brother who he feels responsible for. He's adorable with Pru and Thor (I can't forget her dog Thor, who is a definite character in this story). But with each step they take closer to each other, the truth looms over Pru's head.

Jill Shalvis does great secondary characters as well.  Jake, Pru's former lover and now boss and friend is a very interesting character that I hope will get a story in the future.  Finn has a whole slew of friends that take Pru into their group in a way that warmed my heart too. It left me wanting more of them.

I really enjoyed this story. Pru and Finn are terrific together and on their own.  The plot is a bit predictable, but that was okay, for me the enjoyment came from the well developed characters that I just wanted to hug.  I even managed to get choked up a bit toward the end of the story.  The writing is everything I expect from a Jill Shalvis title.

Recommended for fans of contemporary romance or (San Francisco!)

Review:The Hardest Fall by Christina Lee

Roadmap to Your Heart, Book 3
M/M Romance

COVER DESIGN: Kanaxa
RELEASE DATE: 06-23-16
BLURB

Lee trades country ballads for show tunes in the next standalone book of her M/M series, Roadmap to Your Heart. After licking his wounds from a painful relationship, Tate Sullivan is ready to move back home. He picks up where he left off as drag queen extraordinaire Frieda Love in a West Village bar in New York City. He doesn’t expect to be drawn to the mysterious man with the dark eyes who shows up to every single performance—flirtatiously eyeing Tate one second and disappearing on him the next. Why mess around with a guy who is clearly giving him mixed signals?

Sebastian Clark is on a mission the first night he shows up at Ruby Redd’s. He doesn’t anticipate his plan being flipped on its head by the charismatic drag queen and even more so by the mesmerizing man beneath the makeup. But the more he learns about the vibrant and brash Tate Sullivan the more intrigued he becomes. So he pushes aside his guilt about why he sought out the bar in the first place in order to get to know the guy behind the stilettos.

They’re opposites on many levels, but as Tate spends time volunteering with Sebastian at the shelter, he begins to feel good about himself in ways he hadn’t before. For Sebastian, Tate represents a sense of fun and freedom that is completely fresh and invigorating. Before they know it, their easy companionship catches fire, and Sebastian is kissing a man for the first time, while Tate is opening his heart to new possibilities. But Sebastian is still keeping a secret, and Tate will have to decide if he can trust again, or if the betrayal he feels from Sebastian’s confession is too much to overcome.

What I thought about The Hardest Fall

If you've been following this series, The Hardest Fall features Tate from The Deepest Blue, the previous book in this series. He's Dean's flamboyant friend, and he's now living and working in NYC as Freida Love, drag queen.  One night he's drawn to one of the customers who he dubs "Dark Eyes."  Intrigued by this man who stares at him during his act, he approaches his mysterious fan.

Sebastian is in a tough spot.  He's supposed to be at Ruby Redd's to give Frieda Love a package from his recently deceased friend, who happened to be married and having an affair with Frieda.  Sebastian is shocked because he never saw his friend Alan in this way, but Sebastian's sense of honor has him seeking Frieda out.  Only one problem...Sebastian finds himself intrigued by Frieda and very attracted to Tate.

There's a lot of questions in Sebastian's mind, especially since he hasn't been attracted to men that way before (or at least he thought).  But the more time Tate and Sebastian spend together, the deeper their connection and attraction becomes. It's really quite lovely how their relationship builds.  Tate is super-patient with Sebastian as he figures out what he wants. I liked the slower build to their relationship very much.

But Sebastian is also keeping a secret from Tate that threatens to ruin everything that they've been building.  I wasn't expecting everything that came with the telling of the secret, and I really loved how Sebastian saw that his love for Tate was so very different than the relationship Tate had with his former lover Alan.

There are some nice secondary characters to help the story along, and I loved the roommates and coworkers that helped these two men get together.  There was a lot of love in this book and it wasn't just between Tate and Sebastian.

I also appreciated and applauded the volunteerism theme in The Hardest Fall.  I loved how Sebastian opened up Tate's eyes here.

Overall, I really loved this story. It works nicely as a standalone, but I would recommend reading the previous books in the series to enhance the story. The Hardest Fall had a ton of emotions on every page, but didn't drag things out.  Sebastian's journey of discovery was interesting as was Tate's comfort with who he was. So much to like in this.

Blog Tour & ARC Review: Wicked Ride by Sawyer Bennett

Wicked Ride (The Wicked Horse Series Book #4)
Sawyer Bennett
Release Date: June 28, 2016

Synopsis: I think this woman may be the death of me. A dire prediction, but probably true. Probably true because she’s not mine to have and I’ll probably take her, even at the risk to my own safety. So many men slobbering to get a taste of her and only one, sweet, virginal girl to go around.
That’s right.
She’s a virgin.
Looking like a porcelain china doll that would break if not handled carefully. But I also know she’s stronger than she looks.
She’s a contradiction.
She’s most likely my downfall. Like I said, she’ll probably be the death of me, but it’s a risk I’m willing to take.
**Warning: this book has sex in it. Lots of sex. Dirty sex. The Wicked Horse Series is a bit different than what Sawyer Bennett normally writes. While you’ll still enjoy fabulous characters, a suspenseful story, some witty banter and an epic romance, there’s just… a lot of sex. You’ve been warned.

LoganMcKay

What I thought about Wicked Ride

Outside of Jackson, Wyoming is an exclusive sex club called The Silo.  It costs big bucks for a invite-only membership and it caters to its members in a variety of ways.  Logan McKay is happy to be employed there as someone who can make the member's dreams come true, whatever they may be.

Logan loves the freedom and release that he gets working at The Silo.  It helps him forgot the nasty nightmares he has and the past that caused them.  He's living a simple life of fishing guide during the day and working at The Silo at night.  That is until Auralie shows up.
When Magnus Albright brings Auralie to The Silo with the intent of selling her virginity to the highest bidder, Logan is totally smitten with her. He knows he can't get involved with the sale because its out of his league, but since Magnus is offering a taste of Auralie before the sale, he is definitely involved with that.

Magnus quickly realizes that Logan has insider information that could help his "sale" and that has him making a deal with Logan that ends up with Logan having one night with Auralie in The Silo.  What he doesn't bargain for is that fact that Logan and Auralie have an instant connection that is going to totally throw a wrench in his plan to sell Auralie's virginity.

Logan and Auralie have a super-steamy night at The Silo together.  The sex is off the charts with these two and it's not just that -- they end up spending time together when Magnus is called out of town.  But when Logan finds out all Auralie's truths, there's trouble for both of them, especially since Logan isn't willing to share his secrets with Auralie.

There's a lot of heat between these two characters.  What I love about this series is the sexual freedom the characters exhibit. There's no shame at The Silo, only pleasure and fantasy and I really love the way Sawyer Bennett portrays the erotic aspects in a positive light.  This series is a great choice if you are looking for something really hot with a good dose of romance and love along with it.

Wicked Ride works as a standalone, although if you haven't read this series yet, you probably want to start with the first book so you know the history of The Silo and it's employees. Sawyer Bennet does a great job of weaving the steamy moments with the other conflicts happening in the story.

Overall, Wicked Ride is a very hot, erotic romance with just enough drama to give you a breather between the explosive chemistry that is Auralie and Logan. This is a fun series and Wicked Ride is a great addition!
