 What I thought about Mistletoe Baby

You'd think peeps would know about Crescent Cove by now!  I love this accident / surprise baby series set in a little town where it's not safe to "drink the water". LOL. The stories are sweet and happy and we all need that right now.

Callum has a little driving mishap in the snow while driving through Crescent Cove and is forced to spend a night in town while his car is being repaired. As he's walking, he spots a beautiful woman waiting near the gazebo in town. They kiss and she runs away.

Asking around town for her identity doesn't seem to help, but eventually Callum meets up with his mysterious woman and begins the tough task of wooing her. Ellie has plans and they don't involve a man, but she decides a fling might be just what she needs.

This is a very sweet holiday love story where all turns out perfectly for everyone. Low angst, low conflict of any kind, nothing deep -- it's a feel good love story. If you are a unplanned pregnancy fan -- this is the series to be reading!

What I thought about My Ex's Baby

The water in Crescent Cove strikes again.  August and Kinleigh have been dancing around each other for the last few books in this series, and it's about time they got their HEA.

Kinleigh wants August, but the fact his sister is her best friend stops her from giving into what she feels.  But August is feeling it too, and one fateful night they both give in to their feelings. Even though things are very steamy between them, Kinleigh still wants to protect her friendship with Ivy and so she pushes August away. A pregnancy scare is all it takes for Kinleigh and August to figure out what they want.

I really loved both of these characters. Kinleigh is cute and quirky, with a good bit of hippie-dippie that warmed my heart.  Her reasons for keeping August at arm's length are basic.  And August is just wonderful in that he never gives up the pursuit, even when it might have been the best things to do.  It's the way he treats Kinleigh that had me falling for him. 

It was great to see previous characters in the series too and the story works as a standalone.  This is a very sweet series that is a must if you are looking for a romance revolving around babies, unexpected and otherwise.  It's easy to read and light on the drama.  It's all about the love!

Really like this story and this series.

What I thought about Daddy in Disguise

Macy is busy with her coffee shop and a new restaurant about to open. She doesn't have time for a man, and she's definitely not looking to "drink the water" in Crescent Cove and end up pregnant, but a little fling might help her get some sleep.  And she knows just who she wants, and that's John Gideon.  

Gideon is busy working on the renovations for Macy's restaurant and when he gets the greenlight from Macy in the form of a kiss, he's going for it.  There's only one problem -- everyone in town knows Macy is not interested in kids (and I mean everyone, it struck me as odd that just about every characters says something about it) and the first bump in the road for them is the fact that Gideon has a young daughter.

There's a cute bit with Gideon's daughter forcing the situation with a social media ad and the conflict is provided by the return of the ex.  Standard stuff, there aren't any surprises in the story.

Macy and Gideon do work well together.  She's hot and spicy and he's solid with a nice streak of "alpha" to him.  He knows he wants Macy and isn't afraid to say it.  They work well together in and out of the bedroom. 

So, overall, no big surprises, a steamy likeable couple, a cute daughter and it's all good romance.

What I thought about Rockstar Baby

 Rory Ferguson happens to get caught in a snow storm on his way to a client consultation and meets Ivy Beck.  They immediately hit it off and spend a no-strings night together. It's hot, hot, hot. So much chemistry.   Ivy and Rory are super duper steamy together.

When a one-nighter turns into a little bit more, both Rory and Ivy are thrown off guard with their feelings.  They are hot in the sack, but there's a realization of something more.Both are a bit skittish about what's happening between them, especially the incredible passion and connection. But with Rory's stay in the Cove very short-term, Ivy must protect her own heart and dreams from the damage Rory could do and I adored everything about her.

This was such a sweet love story. Rory and Ivy are the stars -- their banter is entertaining, their connection a throbbing heart beat.  The pages explode when Ivy and Rory are together and it warmed my heart to see them reach for happiness. Rockstar Baby is very much a feel-good story.

There's also great cameo appearances from other rock stars created by this duo of authors who always deliver with an entertaining story. The Happy Acres scenes were terrific additions to the story.

Rockstar Baby is one this author duo's best. It's definitely going on my favorites for 2019 and will be a comfort read when I need something sexy, steamy and sweet to escape.  Absolutely loved it all.

Review: Dirty Distractions (Afternoon Delight Book 1) by Taryn Quinn

As a mechanic, Brad’s good with his hands. And he wants to put them all over Sara.

What I thought about Dirty Distractions

 Brad's fallen for his roommate, only there are a few complications.  She's also his sister's best friend and they all live together in the same house.  It's a bit of a reversal on the "falling for my brother's friend" theme and I really liked that about this.  Sara is older, too. She's the first to call herself a cougar as she drools over Brad.

It takes Sara a while to give into Brad's chase, but a bad cold sets her up for some sexy times.  I've got to say that isn't the most erotic time to have your first sexual experience with a young lover, and that was a little weird, but it's all good because Brad doesn't care about those germs.  He just wants to get closer to Sara any way he can.

After nursing her to health, he thinks things will progress, but Sara is still hesitant to let Brad's sister know what is going on between them, which ticks Brad off and causes some real conflict between the two of them.


Dirty Distractions is a fun filled sex romp that was a great distraction from the real world, and I liked that about it. It was just a fun read, which is what I've come to expect from these authors. 

I liked that Brad wasn't a pushover, and that Sara had some real concerns about what bringing Brad into her life might mean. They both had decide to be with each other, rather than them just falling into each other's arms which made the HEA all that more meaningful.

So if you are looking for something light, older woman with a younger man, with lots of sexy times, you might want to try Dirty Distractions.

Review:Rockstar Daddy by Taryn Quinn

What I thought about Rockstar Daddy

Rockstar Daddy is a perfect title for this tale and for some reason putting a rockstar with a baby always makes me smile.  Maggie is driving a little too fast on New Year's Eve and ends up in a ditch during a snow storm.  She's rescued by Kellen, a gruff dude living in a nearby cabin. There's lots of cute banter between these two leading up to the inevitable sexy times.  Neither one is looking for a relationship, but...they do want each other.  It's the perfect fantasy, only Kellen has a secret that could blow it all.

Most of this book is predictable, after all the title tells the tale, but what I liked here is how Kellen goes from wanting no relationship to wanting something with Maggie, although he's not really sure what he wants.  He changes his thinking over the course of the book, but not entirely, which was okay with me. Maggie was a little more traditional small town good-girl, but she did have some spine to stand up to Kellan when she needed to.  I did feel that the ending seemed a little rushed, but overall, Rockstar Daddy is a sweet erotic tale.

Overall, I did enjoy this read.  It's a calorie-free indulgence that has plenty of heat, a little drama, and a happy ending.  Sometimes that's all I need.

What I thought about Unwrapped

Unwrapped is a super steamy story about Caitlyn and her roommates and business partners Tristan and Matthew. She's tired of being a virgin and plans on asking one of her roomies to help her out, but she can't decide on which one.  That problem sort of fixes itself when she finds out that Tristan and Matt share a special relationship too, and suddenly, having them both is on the table.

What follows is to put it precisely ... lots and lots of sex.  Somewhere in there, they all realize the truth depth of feelings for each other and they struggle with what will happen after their magical weekend together. While at times I felt that Caitlyn (and to some extent the men too) were a bit immature, it was clear that there was something going on worth exploring between them. 

And then there's the family to deal with since it is the holidays!  Cait may have lost her virginity, but no one is confident on how their families will accept their new three-way relationship, especially if the guys are totally honest about their relationship too.

Cait, Tristan and Matthew will have to figure out exactly what they want if they want to continue their mind blowing physical relationship and be a real triplet.

This erotic romance is full of creative sex and mild conflict, and it's an easy afternoon/evening read, if that is what you are looking for.
