Release Day Blitz & Review: Legend (Arizona Vengeance #3) by Sawyer Bennett

  Legend (Arizona Vengeance, Book #3)
Sawyer Bennett
Release Date: February 5, 2019

Synopsis:
The Arizona Vengeance is hockey’s hottest new team. But hockey’s hottest goalie is learning that even the best players sometimes need an assist.

Everything is clicking for the Vengeance. We may be new, but we’re well on our way to winning the championship, and I’m having the time of my life headlining the sports media as the hottest goalie—hell, player—ever. I for one am going to live up to my name . . . because I am Legend Bay.

Dragging my ass home from the gym, I’m blinded by some gaudy, glowing holiday lights. As usual, my hot-as-hell neighbor Pepper Nantais has gone way over the top. But just as I’m about to tell her off, something else catches my eye . . . Seems like Santa left me a present, and not one I was expecting.

As life takes an unexpected turn, I realize that there’s much more to Pepper than meets the eye. Sure, she’s gorgeous. And exasperating. And her taste in decorating may be a bit . . . unique.

But beneath her carefree demeanor is a fierce determination and a heart of gold. And before I know it I’ve fallen for her. Hard . . .

Pepper is exactly the woman I never knew I needed.

What I thought about Legend

Legend Bay’s life changes the night he comes home and finds a baby literally on his doorstep. Confused, shocked and not knowing what to do, he reaches out to his neighbor Pepper. Pepper has been a bit of a thorn for Legend, with her lawn ornaments and bright colors and her bohemian ways. But when Pepper takes one look at Legend, she steps up to help him through this life-changing event.

Pepper’s friendship and support during this trying time for Legend has him looking at Pepper in a different way. They start a “sex-only” relationship as a way to decompress from the serious life changes facing Legend. Of course friends with benefits doesn’t last long as they both start falling for each other in a serious way.

I was totally sucked into this book in the first few pages. It was nice to see a different side of both Legend and Pepper in this book. They just really clicked together for me, and they were so awesome with Charlie, Legend’s new found daughter.

When Charlie’s mother reappears after abandoning her, there’s only trouble for Legend and Pepper. Some big trouble that had me turning the pages at the end to see what was going to happen. My only wish was that I needed more there at the end. The ending seemed a little abrupt to me. I’m hopeful we will get to see Legend and his new family in the upcoming books in the series.

If you like sports romance, Legend has enough sports and romance to keep a reader satisfied.
Another entertaining read from Sawyer Bennett.
