Release Day Review: Man Hands (Man Hands #1) by Sarina Bowen & Tanya Eby

Coming December 11

He puts the "screw" in screwball comedy...

BRYNN
At thirty-four, I’m reeling from a divorce. I don’t want to party or try to move on. I just want to stay home and post a new recipe on my blog: Brynn’s Dips and Balls.

But my friends aren’t having it. Get out there again, they say. It will be fun, they say. I’m still taking a hard pass.

Free designer cocktails
, they say. And that’s a game-changer.

Too bad my ex shows up with his new arm candy. That’s when I lose my mind. But when my besties dare me to leap on the first single man I see, they don't expect me to actually go through with it.

TOM

All I need right now is some peace and quiet while my home renovation TV show is on hiatus. But when a curvy woman in a red wrap dress charges me like she’s a gymnast about to mount my high bar, all I can do is brace myself and catch her. What follows is the hottest experience of my adult life.

I want a repeat, but my flying Cinderella disappears immediately afterward. She doesn’t leave a glass slipper, either—just a pair of panties with chocolate bunnies printed on them.

But I will find her.

What I thought about Man Hands

When Brynn sees her ex at a party, she decides to take her friends advice and just go for it with a man who is the exact opposite of the type she usually chooses.  So she goes for the guy she thinks is the gardener. And when I say "goes for it", Brynn does it in style by jumping him and dragging him off for more fun in the boathouse.

What starts out as a one-timer turns into something more when Tom can't get Brynn off his mind.  He wants more, but she's still tender from her divorce.  Things really get sticky when a tape is leaked and to fix things, Brynn and Tom end up in an arrangement that has them fake engaged.

I did love Brynn's attitude and approach to life. She's not letting her terrible marriage hold her back and even though there are some tears, she doesn't wallow in her despair. She handles things with a whole lot of humor with her sidekicks aka best girlfriends!

Tom was almost too good to be true at times! He's immediately intrigued and attracted to Brynn, which helps him forget the disaster of a relationship he'd been getting over.  And he's got all the "tools" that is, the perfect body and other assets!  Personally, I get the man hands attraction--give me a guy with beautiful man hands and I'm done for!  Tom fit the role quite nicely, not just from the physical perspective, but he's also quite sensitive, which made me love him too.

The real charm in Man Hands is the light tone in the first half of the book.  Brynn had me laughing quite a few times and Tom is just a nice guy who falls for Brynn's charms.  These two just work together like peas and carrots and their story is really sweet. Man Hands is a perfect light-hearted romance that left me feeling hopeful and happy.

If you are looking for a romance that's light, sweet and will tickle your funny bone, give Man Hands a try.

An ARC was provided for review.
