EVERYTHING CHANGED IN AN INSTANT.
I thought I knew what was important, but one phone call sent my life into a tailspin. Alone and afraid, I clung to the one man I shouldn’t. I was warned about him and told to stay away. “He’s dangerous,” they said. But the man who could hurt me the most, gave me the greatest comfort. "He's not who they think," I told myself. But just like an illusion, things are never what they seem.
Enshrine is a full-length, standalone novel by USA Today Bestselling author, Chelle Bliss.

What I thought about Enshrine
When Callie gets the phone call she's been dreading, it's all she can do to keep herself together. Withdrawing from her friends and job, it's the scary and enigmatic Bruno that comes to her assistance in a very difficult moment in Callie's life. Sorry if that's all cryptic, but it's not easy to write this review and not give anything away.
No one knows what Bruno does, but the fact his nickname is "The Butcher" tells something about how people view him. Despite warnings from her friend to stay away, Callie begrudgingly accepts his help and gets to see a different side of him, causing her to question everything she thinks she knows about him.
As Bruno cares for Callie, she struggles with resolving her view of him with how others see him. Other secrets get revealed too. But falling for Bruno is easy, and Callie finds herself wanting him.
Enshrine is a beautiful tale of love under the most dire circumstances, and I have to applaud Chelle Bliss for taking on a story like this one. It's all about hope and the power of love and I really got that about this story. While the mystery of Bruno's employment and Callie's condition made for some tension, it really wasn't enough to carry the story to the end for me, and there were a few other unbelievable moments that had me shaking my head. For that reason, I didn't rate this five stars, but I still enjoyed this story very much.
