BOOK BLURB:
Blair is determined to stay on course. Her reporting career is waiting for her if she can just make it through summer on the island.
Justyn knows not to get attached to tourist girls breezing through town for only a season.
Maggie wants to cherish her last few months of summer freedom. So what if she has to keep a tiny secret to make sure everyone around her stays happy?
Reid doesn’t have time for romance. His new business must succeed, no matter the cost.
This summer everything is about to change. All those carefully laid plans might shift faster than the tides. What I thought about Written in the Sand

When Maggie and Blair first arrive on the island for their house-sitting gig for the summer, it isn't long before they are bored -- until they meet two gorgeous local guys. Reid and Justyn have lived on the island for most of their life, and they are following the family tradition by starting a shipbuilding business.  When the four meet, they all have the same thing on their mind and that is "no entanglements".  Whatever happens between them must only be a summer fling.

Good luck with that.

It isn't long before Blair and Justyn are falling for each other, although Blair is convinced that she can have as much fun as possible with Justyn and not get attached.  And Maggie's looking at Reid in much the same way, helping him to work off his frustrations with the new business. If only Maggie could get her father to help out... but Reid has a real problem with Maggie's father's business and so she keeps her last name a secret.

Try as they might, both couples can't abide by the no entanglements rule but when Maggie's secret is exposed, everything falls apart for her and Reid.  It's really a sad moment, since Reid is pretty much a jerk about it.  Blair and Justyn try to pretend that they can walk away from each other without any strings attached but it's clear that there's tons of feelings between them.

There are no real surprises in this story, just two couples falling in love and facing obstacles of time and place. The big question is whether they'll follow their hearts -- so go read Written in the Sand and find out what happens!

Written in the Sand is more than fifteen years in the making. Tucked away in boxes and buried deep on hard drives, pieces of Maggie and Blair’s story sat untouched for years before the authors rediscovered the work in progress. They knew it was time to revisit the island and give Maggie, Blair, Justyn, and Reid a summer to remember.
