What I thought about Gimme Some Sugar

Deacon Locke is back in Whynot, NC because he just can't get Larkin Mancinkus out of his head.  Larkin notices Locke, that's for sure, but she's understandably hesitant to get involved with a drifter on a motorcycle who is guaranteed to break her heart.

But Deacon is persistent, there's some definite chemistry between them, and they both take things full steam ahead even though there's a good chance that Deacon will hit the road again. Larkin is in a very interesting situation here as she has a lot to think about -- but one thing is for sure -- she's not leaving Whynot.

The question is whether Deacon will stay.He might just do that with a little help from Larkin's family.

I've really enjoyed this entire series about the extended Mancinkus family.  Small town life, good and bad is highlighted quite nicely and there were some really funny and many romantic moments throughout. You won't want to miss Larkin and the hand cuffs in this one.

Gimme Some Sugar is really a perfect capstone experience but it also works well as a standalone. If you are looking for a modern small town romance with a good dose of fun, plenty of interesting townsfolk and sweet falling-in-love, you might like this series.

An ARC was provided for review.
