What I Thought About Wicked Impulse
In this third installment of the ALFA PI series, the perenniel bad boy Bear is teamed with Morgan's mother Fran for action and suspence while investigating stolen money. That's not all the investigation on going in this story, as both the main characters have a lot of self-examination going on too!
In this mature contemporary romance, Chelle Bliss does a wonderful thing and lets the main characters express their sexual desires, showing that experience can be a wonderful thing when it comes to getting it on.
Bear has some miles on him, and he's made some mistakes in his past that he must deal with. Fran has been around too, and she's ready to figure out who she is now that her "mom" days are past. I just really liked how these two explored what they wanted and how they were together. And that was hot, hot, hot!
Of course there's some action and suspense from the missing cash investigation. There was a nice balance of this with the romantic elements of the story.
Overall, this was a scorching hot story between two characters that get a second chance at love, proving that passion doesn't die with age! The book works well as a standalone but you'll probably want to read the first two for more background.
