He opened his mouth to order her to drop the MP5 she had aimed at him, but nothing would come out. It was like she’d robbed him of the ability to speak. Shooting her wasn’t an option, though. And the idea of arresting her didn’t make him feel any better.
There's a new gang of criminals in town who are organized and ruthless in the extreme. When Eric Becker, along with the rest of the Dallas SWAT team, ends up in the middle of a shootout, he immediately senses werewolves-a lot of them. Turns out, the new bad guys are a pack of wolf shifters.

In a spray of gunfire, Becker comes face-to-face with the most gorgeous woman he's ever seen. Becker does the logical thing. He hides her and leaves the scene with the rest of his team.

Jayna Winston has no idea why that SWAT guy helped her, but she's glad he did. Ever since she and her pack mates got mixed up with those Eastern European mobsters, everything had pretty much fallen apart.

So what's a street-savvy thief like Jayna going to do with a hot alpha-male wolf who's a police officer?

This December, Paige Tyler releases the third

What I thought about In The Company Of Wolves

There's sparks from the start in this next installment of the SWAT (Special Wolf Alpha Team) and plenty of action and romance throughout.  When Eric Becker meets Jayna, it's under less than ideal circumstances. Not only is she trouble, he can get in some darn hot water with Gage, their alpha and leader for what he does. But Becker doesn't care, because he's found "The One."

Turns out that Jayna is keeping some secrets of her own, and Becker is compelled to help her with them, even though the rest of the team doesn't know what he's doing.

"The One" -- the mythos that every werewolf has their special mate is central to this story and Paige Tyler does a nice job of weaving this into the world of SWAT. This is the real fantasy, paranormal part of this story, and the fact that the guys believe (and revere) it is what makes this series work for me.

I don't want to give too much away about this story, because the action and tension is terrific, with lots of fun, plenty of action, and some sweet wolfie romance.

This series is fun and sweet and alpha-romantic... It's my go-to series when I want a paranormal romance that is more romance than paranormal, with strong heroes and even stronger heroines. Jayna and Becker were terrific together!

Recommended if you're looking for some terrific alphas, exciting action, and a sweet romance.  It's a series that leaves you with a smile, and I love that about it!

ARC provided for review.
