My name is Calla Price and I’m broken.

My pieces are all around me, floating on the wind, even as I desperately try to grasp them.

Who is dead? Alive? Insane?

What is the truth?

I don’t know.

I do know this: The darkness is strangling me. With every breath, I choke on another lie.

My mind has protected me, but that shield will soon be lowered.

All will be revealed.
Every answer to every question.

It’s all been leading to this.

Don’t be afraid.
Be terrified.

What I thought about Lux

Wow! This is one of the most intriguing series I have read in a long time, with twists and turns and just when you think you know something, you find out you don't (maybe).  I was really looking forward to this finale.

The story of Calla, Finn and Dare continues in Lux with more questions, more twists and more questioning of what is real and what isn't. There's an occasional sliver of light shining through too, which only heightened the feeling that I thought I knew what was going on, when I really wasn't sure what to believe.

The gothic feel of the story is superb, which I loved, but things were still a bit cryptic for me at the end, so I'm thinking it's going to take me a few re-reads of the books before I can say for sure what I believed in this story.

That's what I liked about this story.  You have to work to unravel what's going on and that was fun and frustrating at the same time. The reader gets to interpret the clues and decide for themselves what it all means. I love books that provoke some emotion in me, and this series did just that, but in a way that no other series has and that was cool.

So if you are looking for something different, you might want try out this story. Start at the beginning, though because the books in this series do not standalone.
