ARC Review:Wolf Trouble by Paige Tyler

He's in trouble with a capital T...

There's never been a female on the Dallas SWAT team and Senior Corporal Xander Riggs prefers it that way. The elite pack of alpha male wolf shifters is no place for a woman. But Khaki Blake is no ordinary woman.

When Khaki walks through the door attractive as hell and smelling like heaven, Xander doesn't know what the heck to do. Worse, she's put under his command and Xander's protective instincts go on high alert. When things start heating up both on and off the clock, it's almost impossible to keep their heads in the game and their hands off each other...

What I thought about Wolf Trouble

This second book in the SWAT:Special Wolf Alpha Team series is all about Xander Riggs and the new werewolf in town, a female recruited by Gage Dixon when the commander is encouraged to bring some diversity to the unit.

Khaki is pretty alpha herself. She can kick serious butt on the police force, but not everyone in her unit thinks that's great, so she ends up taking Gage's offer to join his SWAT team.

Only one problem -- Xander Riggs has an immediate reaction to Khaki and she to him, but it takes a little while for them to realize that their connection is strong for a reason.

A good part of the book is Khaki getting trained for action by the SWAT unit, learning how to command her werewolf skills, and the smoldering attraction between Khaki and Xander. There's action, there's romance, it's a lot of fun. I think that's my overall reaction to this series in general -- it's a whole lot of fun to read.

I do have one complaint about this book that I have to mention and that's Khaki's name. I think she deserved something better than what equates to a "dull brownish yellow color" because she was an awesome cop, a willing new wolf and just a perfect mate for Xander. I felt like I got slapped every time I read her name--it just didn't fit her.

Overall, I did enjoy this read quite a bit. It was fun and quick-paced and had the right blend of action and romance. I'll definitely be watching for the next title in this series.
