Release Day Blitz:Cole by Tijan

I shouldn’t have remembered him.

He was just a guy who walked through a restaurant. I didn't know his name. We never made eye contact. There was no connection between us at all.

But I could feel him.

The tingle down my spine. The command in his presence. The snap of tension in the air around him. That was the first time I saw him, and I was captivated.

The second time was different.

He was in the mysterious back elevator of my apartment building. Our eyes met for a fleeting second before the doors closed, and I was staggered. My breath was robbed. My senses on high alert. My body hummed.

That was just the beginning.

He was the leader of the mafia. I was about to fall in love with him, and his name…

Author Information

I didn't begin writing until after undergraduate college. There'd been storylines and characters in my head all my life, but it came to a boiling point one day and I HAD to get them out of me. So the computer was booted up and I FINALLY felt it click. Writing is what I needed to do. After that, I had to teach myself how to write. I can't blame my teachers for not teaching me all those years in school. It was my fault. I was one of the students that was wishing I was anywhere but at school! So after that day, it took me lots of work until I was able to put together something that resembled a novel. I'm hoping I got it right since someone must be reading this profile! And I hope you keep enjoying my future stories.

Review: Moment of Fate (Moments in Time #5) by Karen Stivali

Bryan Dane’s been living the dream—photography student by day, up-and-coming rocker by night. His summer goals are to earn his last few credits, graduate from NYU, spend as much time in the recording studio as possible, and survive the next few months without sex so he can complete his yearlong goal of self-imposed celibacy. Everything is on track, until he meets Oliver Newcastle.

For years Oliver planned a marriage of convenience with his high school BFF, but now that she’s fallen in love for real, with someone else, it’s no longer convenient. So Oliver came out to his family, quit his job, and left small-town New England for NYC, an intensive summer study program, and a chance to find his own happiness.

From the moment they meet the sexual tension between Bryan and Oliver sizzles. But Bryan wants no part of a relationship, and Oliver wants to sew his wild oats—he just isn’t sure how. Oliver seeks Bryan’s help navigating the NYC gay scene, which throws them together in increasingly more sexual situations until they can no longer deny they're hot for each other. Bryan is desperate to keep things simple, but fate might have other plans.

What I thought about Moment of Fate

In Moment of Fate, Bryan has made one of those silly resolutions to be celebate for a year.  I'm saying silly because I don't know too many people who follow through on those. Bryan's reasons for celibacy are understandable, that is until he meets Oliver.

Oliver is in NYC taking a break from NH after breaking his engagement. He's trying to find himself and jumping into the gay scene in NYC seems to be the answer.  Only it isn't quite working out that way for him until he meets Bryan.

I really how their relationship grows from the first time they meet, to the first time they talk, and onto other firsts.  There's a nice slow build here and I loved how they became friends. Oliver is respectful of Bryan's resolution and Bryan is helping his friend explore his sexuality while keeping his resolution, although Bryan blurs the lines at times.

As with all of the books in this series, there's plenty of sexy times.  But I really loved it for what Oliver and Bryan find out about themselves and each other.  I liked how it was really Bryan that learned a lot about himself, especially in the final chapters.  Sometimes fate does step in to intervene!

Milo was a terrific secondary character and I hope to read more about him.  Karen Stivali also does a fabulous job of describing and raising awareness about allergic reactions, their accompanying panic attacks and the effect that chronic illness can have on a person's mental state.

I've been a fan of this series since the first three books chronicling Collin and Tanner's HEA and each book just gets better.  If you like M/M romance, I would definitely recommend this series.  Moment of Fate works very well as a standalone.

Cover Reveal: Buns by Alice Clayton

The third in the hilarious yet sizzling hot Hudson Valley series from New York Time and USA TODAY bestselling author Alice Clayton.

Clara Morgan is living the dream, if you can call rebranding hotels that are desperate for a new life and running any kind of marathon a dream. Which she does. But the career she loves and the endurance races that keep her adrenaline pumping have kept her too busy to put down any roots. Growing up in foster care, she’s never been able to establish traditions of her own, which may be why she’s fascinated by the rituals that generations-old family resorts are known for. She’s especially interested in the Bryant Mountain House, and not just for their secret recipe for the yummy, gooey, can’t-get-enough-of Hot Cross Buns….

Archie Bryant, the man with the Buns, is fifth generation and one-day-owner of the charming yet run-down Bryant Mountain House in Bailey Falls, New York. He’s determined to save his family’s legacy from the wrecking ball the old-fashioned way—by gritting his teeth and doing what needs to be done.

There’s no way Archie will be influenced by the new hotel branding expert his father brought in to turn one hundred and fifty years of tradition on its head just to attract a faster, younger, slicker crowd. But when some of Clara’s ideas start bringing in new, paying customers, Archie can’t deny that she may have just given him a shot at keeping his resort open.
It’s sticky, it’s messy, it’s sweet, it’s Buns.

Author Bio

I read many genres but favor intense, seductive, and provocative novels where the male character loves fiercely, without remorse or boundaries. I also adore forbidden love tales and have an odd fascination with kidnapping romances. No, I don't secretly want to be kidnapped, though!

I have a passionate obsession with the written word and indulge in chocolate pastries much too often.

My debut novel For Fallon (Chicago Syndicate, #1) was released on July 26, 2014. I’m honored that For Fallon won “Best Breakout Novel 2014” in the Novel Grounds Semi Annual Literary Awards.

Review:Dirty Duet (Found in Oblivion #3) by Cari Quinn & Taryn Elliott

He’s the wildest guy in his band, but falling for a virgin groupie-in-disguise might be his craziest move yet.

Keyboardist West Reynolds’s idea of commitment? Going out for breakfast with a woman after a night of bed-breaking action. The only thing he gets serious about is Warning Sign, the band he formed with his two best friends. Then he meets a woman being hauled off by security, and she’s fascinated by him.

To her, he’s a subject to study. Like a bug under a microscope with a big…head.

Lauren Bryant is a student of psychology, and now she’s going in depth on rockstars. Specifically, fans. What makes a woman turn into a lust-driven groupie?

Is it the music?

The fame?

The men?

She isn’t sure, but she never expected to get her own night with a rockstar. One where he’s on top, doing some studying of his own…

She isn’t sure, but she never expected to get her own night with a rockstar. And she just figured out the ultimate way to get inside a subject is to let the subject inside you…

What I thought about Dirty Duet

Every rockstar romance from this writing duo has been a lot of fun so far, with just the right mix of drama, rock, and romance.  Dirty Duet is no different, and it continues to amaze me how the characters from Cari and Taryn are always unique and interesting.

In Dirty Duet, Lauren is out researching fandom and she's chosen Warning Sign as her research material.  When West Reynolds crowd surfs out to her, and she whips off her shirt, well... game on.

I really liked West. He was sensitive and caring although not too confident when it came to women.  His backstory explains that quite well.  Lauren on the other hand is a brash-mouthed straight-shooter that wants to experience it all.  There's an insta-lust spark between these two that turns into something much more during the time Lauren is on tour with West.

I loved Lauren. She's cute, funny and forward. She says what she means, and she's open to the experiences West brings to her. Some readers may find it hard to believe that she's still a virgin with the mouth she has (TG for Tumblr), but I found it believable that she hadn't had the opportunity to lose her v-card yet. Not everyone cashes that in early!

Anyway, this was another in this series that I enjoyed and there are glimpses of characters from the other rock series from Cari Quinn and Taryn Elliott that always makes it fun to read.

If you are looking for a steamy, sexy falling-on-love story with not a whole lot of drama, Dirty Duet might be for you.

About the Authors
USA Today bestselling author Cari Quinn likes music and men, so she figured why not write about both? When she's not writing, she's screaming at men's college basketball games on TV, playing her music too loud or causing trouble. Sometimes simultaneously.

USA Today bestselling author Taryn Elliott is obsessed with rock stars, men, and her unending playlists--maximizing these things seemed like a very good idea. When she's not writing, she's losing hours to hot men on TV, and/or a graphic design project. Multitasking is her middle name.

They decided to combine forces and found that hey...this writing deal is even more awesome when you collaborate with your best friend.

And so Lost in Oblivion was born.
