Review:The CEO Daddy Next Door by Karen Booth

He wants a mother for his child. She won't settle down. And now they're living together…

After one disastrous date, reality TV personality Ashley George and devastatingly handsome British billionaire Marcus Chambers are roommates! When a fire destroys her apartment, Ashley leans on her Manhattan neighbor for help—and soon finds herself falling for the father and his baby. But despite their off-the-charts attraction, Marcus only dates women who would be suitable mothers for his daughter. His free-spirited neighbor is completely unsuitable. So why can't he seem to keep her out of his bed…and out of his heart?

What I thought about The CEO Daddy Next Door

Sometimes you just want to read a sweet little romance that isn't going to break you apart and put you back together.  This little story of two neighbor frenemies that fall for each other is exactly what I had in mind.  It's cute, it's sexy, and it isn't too heavy. I really liked this story.

Ashley is a matchmaking reality show celebrity and she's pretty good at finding matches for her TV show, but she's more likely to be sitting home on a Saturday night as one tabloid reported.  The story opens with her having yet another argument with her neighbor, the gorgeous, British, CEO with a baby.

Marcus Chambers is looking for a wife and mother for his baby, but when a date months ago with Ashley makes him think she's not looking for a family, Marcus knows he's got to stay away.

There's a nice pull between these two, and when they have to  join forces for publicity sake, things get a little out of hand until Marcus retreats, leaving Ashley wondering what she did wrong.

Karen Booth does a lovely job of bringing these two together in small bits that make you want to cheer when they finally realize just what they are missing.  This was definitely a "feel-good" read for me, and it left me with a smile on my face.  Can't ask for more than that!

If you are looking for something light, sweet and something you can read in an afternoon, this might do it for you too!
