Review & Giveaway:Operation:One Night Stand by Christine Hughes

OPERATION One Night Stand
by Christine Hughes
Release Date:  06/02/15
Orbit
Summary:
IT'S TIME TO CHANGE HER SEXUAL KARMA

Caroline Frost had it all-until her boyfriend banged the superskank intern, and poof! Caroline's happy little bubble disappeared. Now it's been six weeks of weeping, a mountain of ice cream, and a permanent buttprint on the couch. Enough is enough. She and her ladybits need an intervention-now.

Enter Operation: One Night Stand: Find a man who is hotness personified and have some much-needed sexy time. The only problem is that Caroline is torn between a flirtatious, well-built guy and the ridiculously hot bartender serving her shots. This was supposed to be all fun and no games, but like the perfect scotch on the rocks, no good fling finishes without a twist . . .

What I thought about Operation:One Night Stand
Operation:One Night Stand is the story of Caroline Frost and her recovery from her ex-fiance's betrayal with the office intern. When she seems to be developing a permanent relationship with ice cream and bad chic-flics, her friends Sarah and Melody basically force her to join the living by challenging her to have a one night stand.

Things go pretty well for Caroline, as she sets her target on Ryan at the local bar.  And then there's the bartender, Brian. Everything gets complicated when it turns out the Ryan and Brian are roommates.

I loved the humor in this. There are some real laughs especially when she gets to tell her ex off.  But she's faced with a real dilemma -- keep Ryan and his friends with benefits offer, or take a chance on Brian and another relationship?

I also liked the portrayal of the three women in this story as accomplished professionals who like to party and enjoy sexual encounters.  There's no shaming here and I really liked that about this story.

The ending is predictable and sweet and doesn't quite pack the emotional punch I would have liked but it was a fun story about recovering from heartache.
