Never make a promise you don’t intend to keep…
Mona Lisa St. James made a deathbed promise that she would do anything to save her mother's art gallery.
Unfortunately, not only is The Red painted red, but it's in the red. She soon realizes she has no choice but to sell it.
Just as she realizes she has no choice but to sell it, a mysterious man comes in after closing time and makes her an offer: He will save The Red if she agrees to submit to him for the period of one year.
The man is handsome, English, and terribly tempting...but surely her mother didn't mean for Mona to sell herself to a stranger. Then again, she did promise to do anything to save The Red...
The Red is a standalone novel of erotic fantasy from Tiffany Reisz, international bestselling author of The Bourbon Thief and the Original Sinners series.

What I thought about The Red
Mona Lisa St. James will do just about anything to save her art gallery, and her resolve to find the money to save it is tested when a stranger named Malcolm offers to help her -- as long as she agrees to submit to him for a year.
This is no ordinary submission, and Mona Lisa's life is forever changed as the months go by and her mysterious stranger comes to visit her.
And I have to stop here, because I don't want to spoil any part of this erotic story, but I can tell you this -- I loved The Red and the gothic-feel of it. It all works so well together, like a grand painting that gets uncovered bit by bit. And speaking of paintings -- I adored how classic paintings were used as part of the story line in The Red.
This is Tiffany Reisz, so I expected kink and a level of eroticism unlike other books I've read and I was right about that. The erotic scenes are all done so very well and the heart of the story regarding saving the art gallery isn't diminished or overshadowed in the least by the erotic nature of the tale. So be prepared for scenes that may stretch the limits of your imagination and that works well with the overall story.
Even though I had figured out parts of Malcolm's story somewhere along the way, I loved the end of this story when the secrets are exposed (all or some, I'm not quite sure because I still have some questions about Mona's mother's part in all this). It all comes together so beautifully. I had a 2 day book hangover after reading this.
The Red is a must-read for Tiffany Reisz fans, and for anyone looking for a gothic-styled fantasy with plenty of heat and supernatural, surreal elements. The story is well crafted, the heat level is high, and the this reader's satisfaction is a definite 5 big beautiful stars!

About the Author
Tiffany
Reisz is the author of the internationally bestselling and award-winning
Original Sinners series for Mira Books (Harlequin/Mills & Boon).
Tiffany's books inhabit a sexy shadowy world where romance, erotica and
literature meet and do immoral and possibly illegal things to each
other. She describes her genre as "literary friction," a term she stole
from her main character, who gets in trouble almost as often as the
author herself.
If she couldn't write, she would die.
