New York Times bestselling author Shannon Stacey celebrates the season in this brand-new holiday novella.
Leigh’s best friend broke Croy Dawson’s heart, and Croy knows it was Leigh’s fault. They’ve never liked each other, but Croy isn’t cruel: he’d never turn away a pretty woman in need of some family-Christmas fortification. He doesn’t expect her to drink just enough candy-cane martinis to tell him her secrets—and he definitely doesn’t expect to get caught up in her holiday madness.
Despite the surprising love and laughter, Croy and Leigh can’t escape the truth: he can’t walk away from his family obligations and she has a life and career to reboot. But anything is possible if your holiday comes with a twist…

What I thought about Holiday With A Twist
Leigh returns home for the holidays with lots of secrets she's keeping from her family, namely she's no longer engaged or employed. But in a true family holiday tradition, she is soon seeking out some liquid courage at the local bar.
Croy Dawson is a former friend and bartender of the sole drinking establishment in town, and when he sees Leigh, their old ties can't be denied. I like how their relationship was rooted in a friendship and that they had some past to talk through before they got to the good stuff.
I'm giving this a five-star rating which I don't normally do for novellas and that's because there were so many times during this story that it captured the same small time romantic feel of Shannon Stacey's very popular Kowalski series. Not the same characters, but the same feeling and that's why I'm giving this five stars. It totally reminded why I love this author's writing. She definitely finds that magic in this novella.
Holiday with a Twist is a very sweet romance between reconnecting friends that showcases just how deep family ties and friendships can be. I really loved this story and the characters and it was sized just right! Recommended if you are looking for a friends-to-lovers holiday novella.

New York Times and USA TODAY bestselling author Shannon Stacey lives with her husband and two sons in New England, where her two favorite activities are writing stories of happily ever after and riding her four-wheeler. From May to November, the Stacey family spends their weekends on their ATVs, making loads of muddy laundry to keep Shannon busy when she’s not at her computer. She prefers writing to laundry, however, and considers herself lucky she got to be an author when she grew up.
