What I thought about Got it Bad

From the start of their stint in witness protection, Kelllan's had it bad for their handler, the dedicated Marshal Delaney Evans. And she's maybe got some feelings for Kellan too, except getting involved with the client you are trying to protect from the mob will land her out of a job.

But Kellan is persuasive and when Delaney gives in, she realizes a whole lot about what she's been missing in her life. I really loved their relationship -- Kellan is serious about Delaney and Delaney has to make some tough decisions about how far she can take things with Kellan. What starts out as a relationship with an expiration date turns into real feelings of love.

Got it Bad was one of the most romantic stories I've read this year. Kellen and Delaney are just so good together, and after what Kellen has given up for his brothers (also in witness protection) he really does deserve something good in his life.

Of course the mob is still looking for the brothers and there's a very exciting conclusion to this story as things wrapped up. Sorry, no spoilers, but the mob's reach goes far and the brothers are still at risk.

I do wish the first half of the book had been a little faster paced. Even though this is the "falling in love" part of the story, it did seem to drag a bit for me and that's why I'm rating this 4 stars instead of more. I was glad I stuck with the story though, because I really did love Kellan and Delaney together, and the conclusion was worth it.

Overall, a very steamy romance that had me rooting for this couple to find a way to be together. While you can read as a standalone, I do recommend reading the previous books in the series for more background on the brothers and their strong family ties.

An ARC was provided for review.
